Part-Time Laboratory Assistant

About the Role:
We are looking for a part-time laboratory technician to support our bakery division on a 3-day week (22.5 hours per week). The role will involve routine laboratory testing of dry and wet yeast using various laboratory tools and equipment. You will also be responsible for recording and reporting test results, ensuring consistency in accuracy, quality, and timely output of work.
Key Responsibilities： Assist with performance testing of yeast, including mixing dough for batch testing. Record and report test results accurately and within agreed timelines. Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with established standards. Comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain good communication with other business departments as needed.
Essential Requirements:
We require the successful candidate to have:
A strong focus on quality and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proactive, highly organized, and meticulous attitude.Previous experience in a regulated environment is highly regarded.Appropriate qualifications in laboratory/science or similar fields.Good understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control/NATA standards.Minimum Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques.Good computing skills and willingness to learn.Able to commit to working Wednesday and Thursday, with one other day either Monday, Tuesday, or Friday.
