Bakery Division Laboratory Assistant

Ignite is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Bakery Division on a part-time basis. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the performance testing of yeast and ensuring that all laboratory testing is performed in accordance with agreed standards.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive, and highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in a highly regulated environment would be highly regarded, although full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Assist with routine laboratory testing of dry & wet yeast using a range of laboratory tools and equipment
- Mixing of dough for the purposes of testing batches of yeast
- Recording and reporting of test results
- Ensuring consistency in accuracy, quality and timely output of work
- Actively participating in productivity improvements within the laboratory
- Quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
- Full training will be provided, but previous experience in a highly regulated environment is highly regarded
- Appropriate qualifications in laboratory / science or similar
- Good understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control / NATA standards
- Minimum education level: Cert 4 in Laboratory Techniques
- A competitive salary of AU$45,000 per annum (based on 3 days per week, part-time)

- Car parking on site
