Electrical Design Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will assist the estimating team and project manager with design and construction electrical engineering for estimating purposes and project variations.

You will be responsible for developing designs for building electrical services, working on all stages of the design side of projects, and collaborating with the project team to meet project specifications and solve electrical design or operation problems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD/Revit, proficiency in industry software, and experience working in electrical services design, including lighting, general and specialty power, automation, power distribution, and reticulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Estimating Team and Project Manager with D&C electrical engineering for estimating purposes and project variations.
  • Developing designs for a range of building electrical services.
  • Be involved in all stages of the design side of projects.
  • Working within our Project Team to assist with project Electrical Design and Construction.
  • Work with Project Team to meet project specifications and solve electrical design or operation problems.
  • Assist in drafting drawing to meet project requirements.
  • Reviewing drawings for co-ordination with other building services.
  • Assisting in assembling sample documents and datasheets for projects.
  • Making design changes to drawings in consultation with design team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Prior experience/understanding of CAD/Revit – highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of working within an engineering consultancy environment on building services projects.
  • Experience leading and running electrical engineering components of major projects.
  • Proficiency with industry software (MS Office, Bluebeam, etc).
  • Experience working in electrical services design including lighting, general and specialty power, automation, power distribution and reticulation.
  • Current Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
