Civil Engineering Leadership Role
The Civil Engineering Leader will be responsible for conducting site investigations and stakeholder meetings to determine project scope and cost estimates for civil aspects.
- Plans and conducts independent Civil work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium size project or assignment.
- Leads the development, modification, and evaluation of Civil components and processes utilizing relevant procedures and design standards.
- Determines the appropriate use of various civil elements such as earthworks, pavement, rock, concrete, etc., to ensure appropriate material is used based on project requirements.
- Coordinates and interfaces with day-to-day technical work of personnel and communicates complex technical issues to senior management.
- Mentors Civil engineering personnel through on-the-job training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Professional registration (e.g. RPEQ)
