About This Role

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations and client interviews to determine project scope and cost estimates for civil/structural aspects. You will lead the design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components and processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will plan and execute independent civil work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-size project or assignment.
  • You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil components and processes utilizing relevant engineering department procedures, design standards, and guides.
  • You will determine the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a civil engineer, preferably within mining and metals industry.
