Civil Engineering Leadership Role

Our company is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the civil engineering aspects of projects. In this key role, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates.

As a senior-level engineer, you will design structures using hydrology, hydraulics, road design, pavement design, geotechnical, and earthworks expertise. You will also determine the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete.

This leadership position requires strong technical expertise to ensure that the unique and complex requirements of a project's civil/structural aspects are met. You will conduct or lead special studies of new civil engineering methods, materials, and techniques.

In addition to leading the design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components and processes, you will mentor civil engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience in the mining and metals industry. They must also have demonstrated experience as a civil engineer and be considered highly skilled and proficient in civil engineering discipline.

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization, resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways, is preferred. The ability to be registered as an RPEQ or already being registered as RPEQ is desirable.
