Job Title: Executive Leader for Education Regulation

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our regulatory body, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and promoting high professional standards in education.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior executive with relevant experience in regulation, governance, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Presiding Member (effective Chair) and be responsible for:

  • Managing daily operations and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Providing expert advice on governance, policy, and procedures, as well as financial and human resources management;
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high-functioning team to meet organizational goals;
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry bodies, and professional associations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote high professional standards in education;

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff members, promoting their growth and development;
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in a senior leadership role;
  • Proven track record of achieving results through effective leadership, strategy, and collaboration;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands;
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
