About The Role The department's capital works program is a significant, high-profile program investing over $500m over the forward estimates into capital works projects across our education system.
The Leader, Architectural and Project Advisory position leads the planning and delivery of key high-risk and high-profile capital works projects through the provision of strategic high level project management and provides architectural and project management expert advice across the infrastructure division.
The Leader, Architectural and Project Advisory is responsible for strategically prioritising and overseeing the department's high-risk projects.
The position leads the development of creative, timely, practical strategies and insightful business solutions and makes a leading contribution to the development, implementation and monitoring of projects that achieve high quality learning outcomes in accordance with State and Departmental Strategic Plans.
The Leader, Architectural and Project Advisory provides architectural expertise and guidance to project teams, reviews architectural designs, documentation and provides recommendations for improvement while ensuring adherence to education design principles, standards and best practice.
Qualifications Essential qualifications and competencies: An appropriate tertiary qualification including post-graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline desirable or relevant experience.
Experience leading in a large and complex organisation at an executive level, ensuring the translation of priorities into executed deliverables.
You must have, or be able to obtain, a Department for Human Services issued Working With Children Check.
Special Conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
