Injury Management Specialist

Our mission is to provide tailored support for injured workers, ensuring they return to work safely and effectively. We are seeking an experienced Injury Management Specialist to lead our team in this effort.

  • Create, maintain, and evaluate individualized return-to-work plans that align with certificates of capacity and workplace requirements.
  • Collaborate with injured workers, insurers, treating doctors, and line managers to assess return-to-work needs and facilitate the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims files, RTW plans, and other relevant documentation, adhering to confidentiality and privacy protocols.
  • Assist managers in identifying suitable duties that align with the capabilities of injured workers, promoting a safe and effective return to work.
  • Conduct case conferences with relevant stakeholders to address barriers to the return-to-work process and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Educate and inform stakeholders about the benefits of workplace-based rehabilitation, fostering a culture that supports safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.
  • Engage with treatment providers to ensure alignment with rehabilitation goals, monitoring and reviewing treatment plans to support recovery.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • WorkCover RTW Coordination Certification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in RTW coordination and/or claims management.
  • Experience with complex claims, including psychological claims.
