Pastoral Care Professional


Overview:

The Pastoral Care Worker will promote student wellbeing, offer social and emotional support, and contribute to a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pastoral care services to students and support the wellbeing of the broader school community.
  • Engage with the school community according to the guidelines defined in relevant project agreements.
Requirements:
  • Be a Catholic individual committed to upholding the values and principles of the faith.
  • Have a good understanding of Catholic schools and the wider community.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational ability and capacity to work effectively in a school environment.
  • Be competent in monitoring and reporting requirements of CSO and NSCP.
  • Prioritize the wellbeing of students and families.
  • Comply with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and related child protection laws.
Qualifications:
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training.
  • Meet NSCP minimum qualification requirements (a Certificate IV in Youth Work or Pastoral Care or equivalent).
