Overview

Disability Support Workers - Charlestown, Newcastle

Maxlife Care is a leading provider of premium disability and aged care services. We are looking for compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our team in Charlestown, Newcastle.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home care and assist participants with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Support with domestic duties to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
  • Empower participants to achieve personal goals and foster independence.
About You
  • At least 1 year of experience in the disability sector.
  • Experience working with clients with dementia and behaviors of concern is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with mobility aids and hoists is required.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
  • A Certificate III in Disability (or similar) or higher.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build meaningful connections with participants.
  • Commitment to person-centered practices, advocating for autonomy and well-being.
  • Organizational skills and a proactive approach to care delivery.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • A valid NSW Driver's License (or equivalent) and access to your own car is desirable.
