Job Opportunity:

An Early-Stage Collector role exists in our organisation, requiring an individual to effectively communicate with internal and external partners throughout the collection and recovery process.

The primary objective is to ensure timely and adequate collection of outstanding customer payments, while minimising costs and optimising returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify arrears and categorise them into technical/administrative and credit arrears for accurate follow-up.
  • Communicate with debtors via telephone and written correspondence to resolve arrears.
  • Monitor debtor payment behaviour and evaluate credit risk, ensuring accurate categorisation.
  • Pursue payment agreements, determine a suitable approach and ensure conditional payments are made. Legal action may be initiated if necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with debtors and internal/external stakeholders, reporting on progress and recording relevant history.
  • Manage and maintain an overview of your assigned portfolio, escalating cases to relevant departments as required.

This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, with a consultative approach to working with all stakeholders.

Additional Information:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is advantageous, particularly equipment leasing and vendor finance experience.

A degree or studies in accounting, finance or a related field would be beneficial.
