We are seeking a highly skilled Correspondence Officer to provide exceptional support and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and action the Department's generic mailboxes to provide support and advice including incoming requests; finalise signed correspondence and briefing material.
  • Conduct daily status reporting and provide analysis and proposed actions for ministerial and Director-General correspondence to meet service standards and on-time delivery.
  • Review correspondence to ensure a good quality compilation, assessing and managing quality assurance matters in line with the Department's style guide and templates.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete tasks according to the Department's recordkeeping policies.
  • Stay informed about various projects and priorities within the Department.
  • Develop a high-level understanding of the Department's Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System (MECS) and record keeping system.
  • Identify customer complaints, manage as required, and escalate to the Complaints Registrar for registration and appropriate action.
  • Collaborate as an effective team member, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Offer advice to the Director and other team members on current and emerging issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
