Job Title: Medical Clinic Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and friendly individual to fill the role of Medical Clinic Administrator at our medical center.

In this position, you will be working at the front desk of our clinic, assisting patients and visitors with their inquiries and needs. Your primary duties will include:

  • Greeting and checking in patients
  • Answering questions
  • Collecting patient co-pays
  • Processing paperwork
  • Scheduling appointments

You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our records and work areas, as well as ensuring that our office provides a welcoming environment for our patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the clinic according to set procedures
  • Greeting patients and callers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Making appointments for patients
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
  • Accurately processing patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transactions
  • Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover
  • Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
  • Dealing with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc. courteously and helpfully
  • Attending to patient enquiries
  • Checking and handling internal emails
  • Filling in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave
  • Maintaining the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy including cleaning up spills if necessary
  • Ensuring the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing and filing of all documents
  • At all times maintaining confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
  • Completing recalls
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the medical centre
  • Providing exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
