About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Aboriginal Professional Practice Advisor to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of culturally appropriate case management practices for Aboriginal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive case management practices to reduce risk and maximize individual outcomes for Aboriginal clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to case management staff to enhance their ability to provide culturally appropriate practice.
  • Contribute to the formation of policy and procedures that strengthen culturally appropriate case practice.
  • Support regional specific workforce development initiatives to connect Aboriginal clients to supports and services.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community, both society and culture, and the issues impacting it.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of culturally safe and supportive case management practices for Aboriginal clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and work effectively with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
