ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Account Manager will partner closely with Account Directors to ensure the delivery of high-quality work across client program development, execution, and analysis, consistently meeting and surpassing campaign objectives. You will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities for the agency.
To excel in this position, you must stay informed about the latest trends in culture, travel, and luxury. A keen understanding of compelling storytelling and a robust network of media contacts are essential, backed by your experience in an agency environment.
Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to various situations while managing client initiatives and guiding junior team members.
This role reports directly to an Account Director, with whom you will collaborate daily, and requires accountability for both personal and team performance.
KEY DUTIES
- Serve as a key resource for clients, delivering exceptional service.
- Conduct thorough research on clients' industries to remain updated on trends and significant developments, providing informed counsel to clients in collaboration with senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients and their stakeholders, including media representatives and potential customers, to effectively communicate key messages.
- Develop and contribute to communication strategies and programs for clients, ensuring a solid foundation for more complex initiatives.
- Present strategies and programs to clients with clarity and confidence.
- Collaborate with senior management to prepare and regularly update detailed project plans, ensuring timely execution and achievement of objectives.
- Continuously assess programs to ensure all deliverables are met, proposing new initiatives as necessary to achieve goals.
- Independently manage small to medium-sized accounts in consultation with senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills Required:
- Ability to lead and manage junior teams assigned to clients.
- Proficient in planning and drafting communication materials.
- Support the development of comprehensive communication strategies.
- Manage client relationships effectively.
- Exhibit creativity in problem-solving and strategy development.
- Oversee media relations, social media activities, and event planning.
- Conduct communication measurement and evaluation tasks.
- Manage budgets to ensure client profitability.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Established experience and connections within the media landscape, particularly in news, lifestyle, luxury, food and beverage, and travel sectors.
- A minimum of four years of full-time experience in an agency or similar environment, demonstrating proficiency in delivering high-quality work.
