About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team at Downer. As a key member of our Rollingstock Delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of procurement and contract management services for your assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the scope of work and manage the tendering process.
  • Establish contracts with selected suppliers, ensuring compliance with specified guidelines and negotiating terms as necessary.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including internal teams, management, and external project partners.
  • Oversee the governance of supply systems, ensuring purchases are made through approved suppliers, and proactively maintaining supplier system attributes.
  • Administer contracts executed, review and assess technical work.
About You
  • 3-5 years of experience in a procurement category, contracts, or commercial role.
  • Degree in purchasing, supply chain, commercial, project management, or equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualified in a business, commercial, or engineering-related degree.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Strong people management and mentoring skills, with a collaborative approach to work.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels.
  • Experience working on rollingstock projects.
About the Project

QTMP is the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland's history. It includes the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots, and a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain.
