About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team at Nexus Innovate Pty Ltd. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring security protocols, and supporting IT operations to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and implement new technologies to ensure optimal performance of computer networks, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Manage and maintain systems and network infrastructure by closely monitoring and recommending improvements to complex systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and software systems.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to client IT Network environments, including network optimization, system upgrades, and rack tidy-ups.
  • Collaborate with IT development and engineering teams to report and escalate complex issues, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.
  • Implement and maintain network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based systems.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential risks, implement necessary security measures, and update them by installing and testing.
  • Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware), Windows Server and Active Directory, Exchange Server, databases (SQL Server, Oracle), remote desktop services, IIS, SIP phone systems, networking (routing, DNS, DHCP), IT server hardware installation and configuration, scripting (PowerShell), Linux/UNIX-based servers, monitoring services, and products.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows Server & Desktop Technologies & Cloud Environments.
  • Manage and maintain internal systems, including servers, storage, and networking infrastructure (e.g., Dell, HP, Cisco).
