Job Opportunity

A leading global law firm is seeking an Event Coordinator Specialist to join their Brand, Marketing & Communications team based in Sydney, Australia.

This 15-month fixed-term contract role will involve working closely with the current Events Executive and managing the client events calendar, advising practice groups, industry partners, and Business Development on forward planning of upcoming events.

The ideal candidate will have prior event management experience, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment, with proven skills in delivering multiple events simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying event opportunities that align with the firm's guiding principles
  • End-to-end operational management of the client events calendar, including in-person, virtual, webinars, and hybrid events

To succeed in this role, you will require strong technical skills, excellent project management abilities, and business acumen in corporate dealings and the event industry.

The successful candidate will be able to influence stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes, maintain composure under pressure, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

  • Prior event management experience in a professional services or corporate environment
  • Proven experience in managing concurrent events, including budget, stakeholder, and supplier management
  • Strong technical skills in webinar and virtual event management
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to define activities, responsibilities, and deadlines
  • Business acumen in corporate dealings and the event industry
  • Strong administrative background, including CRM content management and customer service
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes
  • Maintaining composure and personal presentation during event delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
