Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential or commercial property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing service providers, and enhancing tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Upkeep: Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the building and its facilities.
  2. Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  3. Contractor Management: Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring quality work and timely completion of tasks.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure the property complies with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  5. Tenant Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, owners, and stakeholders.
  6. Conflict Resolution: Address tenant concerns, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with residents, owners, and body corporate representatives.
  8. Financial Planning: Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning for building operations.
  9. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of building maintenance, incidents, and service contracts.
  10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with lease agreements, insurance policies, and relevant regulations.
  11. Health and Safety: Ensure the property meets all health and safety standards, implementing necessary risk management strategies.
  12. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct fire safety drills.
  13. Codes and Regulations: Ensure compliance with building codes, fire regulations, and workplace safety laws.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in building or facilities management.
  2. Diploma/Certification: Diploma or certification in property management, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
  3. Skills: Familiarity with building maintenance, compliance, and contractor management.
  4. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants and stakeholders effectively.
  5. Proactive Approach: Proactive approach to handling building-related challenges.
  6. Software Proficiency: Experience with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
