About the Role

The Government of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing and Customer Experience Officer to join our team. As a key member of our marketing and communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-level marketing and communications strategies to promote the Department's programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications plans to achieve the Department's objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities across all communications channels, including social media, email, and website.
  • Project manage key activities, including events and sponsorships, to support the Department's communication objectives.
  • Provide leadership, advice, and support on communications strategies, including audience engagement, customer touchpoints, distribution, and measurement.
  • Coordinate communications outputs across multiple channels and platforms, including the coordination of Customer Experience (CX) activities across the full breadth of a customer's journey and interactions with the Department.
Key Competencies
  • Broad and expert knowledge of marketing and communications theory and methodology across all media, including alignment of public relations outcomes and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of effective strategic communications plans, content, and materials to change behavior and/or support achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Experience in planning, administering, evaluating, and reporting on complex communication projects in accordance with policy, processes, time, and budget constraints, and in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels, including proven ability to consult, liaise, and influence, and negotiate and manage conflict with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to successfully build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and stakeholders, forming effective relationships, networks, and alliances to ensure the successful delivery of a diverse range of communications projects across the Department.
  • Experience in utilizing a variety of channels for the delivery and promotion of marketing and communications materials.
