Financial Reporting Specialist

Role and Responsibilities

This role will play a key part in managing the integrity of our financial reporting while supporting commercial decision-making.

The Financial Reporting Specialist will report to the Finance Manager, prepare accurate financial statements, assist with financial audits, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen financial controls and efficiencies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate financial performance into insights that support growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accurate and timely financial reporting for the ANZ region.
  • Own Month End and Period End close for key P&L / Balance Sheet areas.
  • Partner with Operating Expense business owners to ensure forecast spend aligns with budget.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Support annual budgeting and interim forecasting processes.
  • Support ANZ statutory audit and reporting, including climate-related financial reporting and technical accounting support.
  • Support process and systems/ERP automation, including NetSuite and Power BI.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong financial accounting background from FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or BIG4 experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial processes including month and period end, supporting audits, AP/AR, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Experience influencing and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Commercial finance experience desirable – business partnering, working with P&Ls, pricing, and scenario modeling.
  • Tertiary qualification and CPA/CA/CIMA preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Experience with financial modules in an ERP (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).
