
Project Coordinator

As a seasoned contract administrator, you will play a vital role in facilitating smooth project execution.
You will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating with subcontractors, and ensuring timely recognition and management of notices. Your expertise in maintaining registers of notices and managing contracts in Maximo will be crucial to controlling costs and driving project success.
- Prepare and issue tender package documentation, showcasing your attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Liaise with site teams to guarantee prompt notification and effective management of notices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of notices, adhering to established procedures.
- Effectively manage contracts in Maximo, leveraging your analytical skills to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and implement procurement schedules that align with delivery requirements, demonstrating your ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Promptly address and resolve claims and disputes, working closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure seamless resolution.
- Evaluate and procure insurances that meet or exceed subcontract requirements, safeguarding against potential risks.
- Create customized tender documentation templates from standard contracts or as specified by the Head Contract, ensuring inclusion of all necessary conditions and requirements.
- Collaborate in the preparation of subcontract tenders, assessments, awards, and back-to-back or better terms than the Head Contract.
- Compile and provide project performance information for incorporation into internal or external reports, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Provide accurate and timely contract information, including status updates and commercial implications for informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or an equivalent field. Postgraduate qualifications, such as a graduate certificate or diploma, in related disciplines are also desirable. Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated fields is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, and exposure to contract management systems like CRM are necessary.
A strong understanding of document control procedures, relevant legislation, and code applications is required to prevent potential business exposure. The ability to interpret and apply these principles effectively is critical to success in this role.
