Electrical Superintendent Job Overview

The role of an Electrical Superintendent is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical work on site.

  • Provide effective safety leadership to personnel assigned to the electrical department, implementing procedures and inspecting sites for hazardous conditions and practices.
  • Coordinate and enforce safe work practices at all times, championing a zero-incident philosophy.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant local, national, and industry safety codes, requirements, and standards within the assigned area of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely completion of electrical work by monitoring activities of craft and reviewing time records using established automated tools.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience (8-12 years).
  • Experience on an LNG construction site, preferably with a background in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction.

This position requires exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in computer applications. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

Additional requirements include the ability to conduct field inspections, which involve extensive walking, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, as well as working in confined spaces and lifting equipment. A rotational roster may be part of this role, with a 3/1 schedule for non-residents.
