Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team as a technical specialist in Victorian school environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of school networks and ICT environments, including identifying, escalating, and managing issues through to resolution.
About the Role
- This is a full-time, part-time, or casual position available with set hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with no on-call or weekend work required.
- You will work onsite in a Victorian school environment as a technical specialist, working autonomously with a strong mentoring program in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Server and network administration, including demonstrated networking knowledge, including routing, NAT, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services.
- Experience in virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Citrix, with hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of hardware like servers, firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including general computer hardware and software support, Active Directory and Group Policy management, and service desk and end-user device support.
- BYOD management and support, technical document writing, including instructional and training materials for leadership and users, and strategic ICT planning with school leadership.
Requirements
- Tertiary education desirable, with a Certificate 4 in IT Systems Administration or similar preferable.
- Certification in relevant technologies, such as vCloud, CCNA, MCSA, or CompTIA.
