About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Burleigh Heads Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.

You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality programs for children;
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the programs;
  • Support the Coordinator with staff management;
  • Ensure compliance with policy and procedures;
  • Undertake administrative requirements;
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community.
Requirements
  • Currently studying or completed a relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
  • Demonstrate experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
  • Demonstrate experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service or similar;
  • Possess excellent customer service skills;
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification;
  • Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one;
  • Possess strong NQF knowledge (Desirable).
