Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for coordinating the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers, as well as engaging with existing volunteers to ensure a positive experience. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form effective relationships with staff, volunteers, management, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes, including advertising, interviewing, screening, and training.
  • Engaging with volunteers through regular attendance at sites and maintaining open communication channels.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support volunteer recognition, retention, and evaluation processes.
  • Delivering individual, group, and online volunteer inductions and training programs.
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including Social Enterprise staff, to strengthen engagement and communication.
  • Coordinating events and activities to promote volunteer engagement, such as face-to-face or online volunteer engagement events.
  • Providing administrative support for volunteer management, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date volunteer files.

Requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality coordination and leadership in volunteer management.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form effective relationships with diverse groups.
  4. Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing competing demands.
  5. Strong organizational and analytical skills, including CRM user experience (Salesforce).
  6. Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills, with a consultative approach to addressing issues.
