Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and policies for food production, ensuring adherence to SQF and HACCP standards.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with SQF certification requirements, validate audit processes, and update food safety protocols as needed.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action: Investigate consumer and customer complaints, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to address product and process non-conformances.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the analysis of customer and consumer feedback to identify areas for improvement, drive corrective actions, and enhance manufacturing processes, sanitation systems, and quality programs.
  • Technical Guidance and Leadership: Provide quality and food safety technical guidance, leadership, and analysis to drive improvements in manufacturing processes, sanitation systems, and quality systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet FDA compliance and regulatory requirements, monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other employee safety, food safety, and quality programs throughout the facility.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Manage and troubleshoot non-conformances, assign corrective actions, collaborate with supply-quality and other functions, and follow up on completion.
  • KPI Analysis and Improvement: Compile and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) indicative of production line health, drive improvement actions, and execute non-conformance product protocols as needed.
  • Process Audits and Laboratory QA/C Testing: Conduct process/system audits, develop and implement corrective actions, and perform laboratory QA/C testing and product sensory evaluation.
  • Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout all operations and processes by conducting process/system audits and developing corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in departmental and cross-functional continuous improvement projects assigned by management, work with the plant to determine root causes for food safety and quality related issues, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Actively participate in resolving cross-functional issues and addressing site concerns, inform and advise company management of all quality-related issues.
