Senior Splunk Support Specialist

A leading financial institution is seeking a seasoned Senior Splunk Support Engineer with a proven track record in monitoring and dashboard development to join their IT team on a permanent basis. As part of a major digital transformation project, this organisation is undergoing significant changes across its digital and customer platforms, with a strong focus on stability, observability, and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing dashboards in Splunk for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Monitoring system performance and incident response.
  • Platform insights and data analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams to resolve integration issues and enhance the overall system architecture.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry-recognised certifications (e.g., Splunk).
  • Significant experience working in a DevOps/SRE capacity within complex, large-scale environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Splunk, including building complex dashboards and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proven experience supporting high-profile, customer-facing systems.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices, including incident/problem/change processes combined with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Good working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS), containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), and API gateway tools (e.g., Apigee).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a mindset for continuous improvement.
