Splunk Engineer/Architect Job Opportunity

This is a 12-month contract (with the potential to extend to 18 months) located in Charlotte, NC.

We are seeking a skilled Splunk Architect/Engineer to join our team as an individual contributor and will be responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability for our huge Splunk environment.

The candidate will drive implementation using the Lean-Agile methodology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation, and some administration, for the Splunk deployments we manage across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of expert-level Splunk Architect/Engineer experience.
  • Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology.
  • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience.
  • Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scripts.
  • Thorough knowledge of regular expressions.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions together.
