Job Title: Splunk Engineer

Splunk System Architecture and Data Analytics

The successful candidate will join our team as an individual contributor and be responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability for a huge Splunk environment as a hands-on engineer/architect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and expand the current Splunk system architecture
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment
  • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components
  • Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of expert-level experience in Splunk Architect/Engineer
  • Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology
  • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience
  • Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scripts
  • Thorough knowledge of regular expressions
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions together

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, and/or AutoSys
  • Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment
  • Experience with other monitoring tools
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
