We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to join our team as a Director. This role will involve leading the financial performance of our Scottish division and working closely with operational teams to deliver financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial guidance and support to Heads of Business within the Division to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- Consolidate monthly results and forecasts for the Children's Services Division.
- Work with senior leaders on strategic initiatives and financial planning.
- Lead the divisional budget process and month-end review of homes' gross profit and EBITDAR.
- Prepare costings for new referrals, review fees regularly, and negotiate with Local Authorities.
- Review and sign off payroll, work on financial aspects of organic development proposals, and prepare capital investment proposals for the Board.
- Assist with financial due diligence of acquisitions and post-purchase integration.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience.
- At least five years' experience in a similar multi-site position.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with external stakeholders in commercial negotiations.
- Evidence of successful management of a dispersed finance department and meeting deadlines on all aspects of reporting and analysis.
- Flexibility, willingness to travel, and strong team player skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Health and Social Care sector, specifically in Children's services.
- Knowledge of the market context.
