Job Description:

The role of Packaging Technologist is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the packaging function across ANZ and Asia markets, working closely with supply chain, marketing, regulatory, and quality teams to determine and validate all technical aspects of packaging.

This role will focus on supporting system implementation and packaging data integrity as well as the NPD pipeline of work, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of detailed technical packaging briefs
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Work closely with the Quality team to resolve packaging-related quality challenges and implement recommended solutions

Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years' experience in packaging development in FMCG or similar industries; Developed packaging solutions for a variety of products using a variety of packaging materials, with experience working with rigid plastics a distinct advantage. Familiar with the Stage Gate process for new product launches, understanding and interest in sustainable packaging solutions, and relevant Tertiary qualifications such as Packaging or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Food Engineering or relevant industry experience are also required.
