As a senior procurement specialist, you will play a key role in driving strategic procurement initiatives for packaging across Australia and New Zealand.

Job Description
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that secure best value for money while enhancing stakeholder relationships and improving operational and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, analytical acumen, and the ability to think strategically, aligning with our broader business objectives in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply product stewardship principles to ensure supplier products and internal processes meet community and environmental standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve advantageous terms.
  • Identify and implement improvement projects within the packaging category.
  • Contribute to consolidating, reducing, and rationalizing the local supplier base.
  • Stay up-to-date with regional trends and regulations.
  • Coordinate quarterly performance reviews for significant contracts.
  • Serve as an escalation point for supply issues related to packaging.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in packaging procurement or a related field is essential.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills are required.
  • The ideal candidate will have strategic thinking capabilities that align with our broader business strategy in the region.
  • Financial and data acumen are also essential.
