About the Role

Care n Help is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering our clients to overcome barriers and live their preferred lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist clients with everyday living tasks, including personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, preparing and cooking meals, and shopping.
  • Community Inclusion and Participation: Facilitate community inclusion and participation based on clients' needs and preferences.
  • Physical and Mobility Support: Assist clients with physical and mobility requirements.
  • Positive and Professional Behavior: Demonstrate positive and professional behavior at all times.
  • Person-Centered Care: Promote and facilitate person-centered care.
  • Wellbeing and Safety: Ensure the wellbeing and safety of clients and perform the duty of care.
  • Policies and Procedures: Follow Care n Help policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Location: Must be located near Waterloo NSW.
  • Experience: With experience working with children.
  • Availability: Available daily for 8 hours (morning to afternoon).
  • Communication Skills: Good English communication skills.
  • Transportation: Can do pick up and drop off.
  • Domestic Tasks: Can support domestic tasks.
  • Qualifications: Certificate III/IV in disability or community support or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Work Rights: Have the right to work in Australia.
  • First Aid Certificate: Have current First Aid Certificate or CPR or equivalent.
  • NDIS Checks: NDIS Workers Check and NDIS Working with Children Check.
  • Driver License: Have driver license and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Personal Qualities: Empathy, respectful, and integrity.
