Job Overview

The Freight Coordinator plays a vital role in the movement of Defence freight across Australia from Essendon Fields VIC. This position demands strong administrative and customer service skills to ensure seamless communication with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process movement requests through customer systems
  • Book in movement requests for collection by carriers
  • Evaluate booking information from customers for accuracy
  • Follow up on missed collections
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and provide correct processes as required
  • Inform customers of cost and delivery timeframes for movement requests
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with SAP experience an advantage
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational ability to manage pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience desired
  • Recent Supply Chain & Logistics graduates with customer service experience encouraged to apply
