Academic Research Specialist in Plasma Engineering

We are seeking an expert in plasma physics and biointerface engineering to join our academic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to outstanding teaching and learning in physics and biomedical engineering
- Demonstrate research excellence, develop a program of original research, and pursue external funding opportunities
- Establish and maintain strong collaborations within the department and with industry partners
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students and provide guidance on their projects
- Pursue opportunities for engagement and service/administrative activities at the departmental, faculty, and institutional levels
Requirements:
- PhD or other research doctorate in a relevant field such as plasma processing, materials science, and engineering
- A strong track record of research experience in applied plasma physics and biointerface engineering
- Expertise in surface modification, biomaterials, and biocompatibility
- Ability to express ideas clearly and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Capacity to work independently and motivate junior members of the team
- Experience working in multidisciplinary contexts and collaborating with industry partners
