Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Policy Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing complex reports on election commitments, submissions, briefing notes, legislation, and other regulatory instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on policy and major projects, developing recommendations for decision-makers.
  • Prepare policy options documents, papers, and guidelines that meet the highest standards.
  • Support key initiatives, ensuring goals, objectives, and milestones are met in accordance with the policy direction of the government.
  • Exercise judgement to effectively manage competing priorities, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, government agencies, and other organisations.
  • Organise meetings and events between peak bodies and government departments.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
