Child Protection Policy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled policy advisor to contribute to the development of child protection policy and legislation in Queensland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert strategic and legislative policy advice on proposals affecting children in contact with Queensland's child protection system, ensuring the highest standards of policy effectiveness.
  • Lead Cabinet processes, contribute to consultation, undertake legislative policy analysis, and shape policy frameworks that promote child welfare.
  • Contribute to ensuring child protection policy and legislative frameworks are fit-for-purpose, meeting the evolving needs of children and families.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation, with a focus on child protection.
