About the Role

The Leisure & Activities Coordinator plays a pivotal role in crafting engaging experiences for residents, tailoring activities to their unique needs, culture, diversity, beliefs, and life experiences.

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and programs for individuals with cognitive impairment and other disabilities is necessary.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes are required.
  • A high level of honesty and integrity is expected.

We seek an individual who can foster close relationships with families and carers through activity-based initiatives, while also considering the individual lifestyle, hobbies, and spiritual needs of each resident.

Liaise with family members to assess the needs, preferences, and capabilities of each Resident to compile individualized activity assessments and care plans.

About You

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing group and 1:1 care programs for residents that cater to their interests and needs.
  • Planning individual activities aligned to resident preferences.
