**Company Description**

YAY Today is a Melbourne-based National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider that specialises in empowering individuals with mental health conditions and neurodivergent traits. We support people with disabilities to unlock their potential and bring a moment of happiness to our clients' lives. Our team comprises of over 30 staff counsellors, psychologists, employment coaches, support workers, and cleaners.

**Role Description**

This is a casual role for an NDIS Activities Coordinator which will eventually become a full-time position. The NDIS Activities Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our social and community access programs. This involves designing, coordinating, and carrying out engaging activities that foster an active lifestyle while enhancing our participants' physical, social, and cognitive skills.

The NDIS Activities Coordinator will oversee the smooth running of programs, enhance participant engagement, and contribute to our broader goals. You will work independently as well as collaborate with the team to ensure effective program delivery, perform risk assessments, and uphold the safety and well-being of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate social and community access programs.
- Manage the resources and materials needed for activities.
- Keep accurate records of attendance and program outcomes.
- Interact with participants to encourage active participation and foster an inclusive atmosphere.
- Communicate program details and schedules to participants, their supports, and external organizations and community partners.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Program Manager and team members.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure activities are executed in a safe and controlled setting.
- Collect feedback from participants to improve program quality and drive ongoing improvements.

**Experience & qualifications**:

- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
- Skilled in planning and coordinating programs to meet client needs and timelines
- Experienced in conducting risk assessments to ensure safety during activities
- Capable of working independently as well as collaborating within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Able to manage and resolve challenging situations with professionalism and composure
- Experience working in Community / Disability Services
- Hold related qualifications
- Experience running or being a part of Training Programs

- Background in Disability Employment Services

- Have charisma, high energy and the ability to engage with people from all walks of life

**Location: Ormond.**

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Performance bonus

Work Location: In person
