Senior Cloud Data Engineering Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineering Leader to lead our data engineering team in delivering high-quality cloud-based data platforms and analytics services.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and experience in managing cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable Azure data pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders to support large-scale data transformation, and providing technical guidance to improve best practices across data engineering and governance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Become proficient in designing and building optimised data storage solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Lake, Delta/Parquet) for efficient data management.
  • Enable advanced analytics use cases across complex datasets through expert analysis and troubleshooting.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably with leadership or mentoring exposure. You should also have strong experience in designing and building ETL/ELT solutions in cloud environments (Azure preferred), along with experience working with distributed computing engines (e.g., Spark, Databricks) and data modelling for performance.
