Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Team Leader to lead a talented team of engineers in the design and delivery of water resource recovery infrastructure across Western Australia.

As a technical leader, you will provide strategic support and guidance to planners, designers, constructors, and operators. You will also have input into our design standards and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of best practice systems associated with design.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team undertaking engineering design of allocated infrastructure assets
  • Planning and managing the delivery of engineering designs and reports for the solution of engineering problems using in-house or external resources
  • Maintaining performance of consulting engineers so that designs are completed within agreed time and constraints and incorporate good practice
  • Providing input to enable the development and continuous improvement of best practice systems associated with design
  • Facilitating the development and deployment of people to ensure that the nominated Engineering team has the capability to deliver their objectives

Requirements include:

  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline or relevant equivalent
  • Professional engineering experience in water resource recovery infrastructure planning and design
  • Demonstrated experience in and relevant knowledge of design or project management, and in the preparation and review of complex technical reports and specifications for water industry infrastructure
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor, collaborate, negotiate, and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Team leadership experience, notably in the design and delivery of water resource recovery infrastructure is desirable
