Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Legal Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
About the RoleThis role plays a critical part in safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people by processing and assessing blue card applications for individuals with criminal histories or other assessable information.
Main Responsibilities:- Determine whether applicants are suitable to work with children, based on their legal history and other factors.
- Assess applications thoroughly, using strong analytical skills to make informed decisions.
- Draft clear, evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders, outlining the reasons for any decisions made.
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and up-to-date.
- A university degree from a recognized tertiary institution in Law, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or Behavioural Science.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft legal documents and reports.
- The capacity to work independently, making informed decisions and taking responsibility for outcomes.
