About the Role

As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the security of council systems and networks to ensure the safety of sensitive information and critical operations.

  • Monitoring and analysing network traffic to identify potential security threats.
  • Investigating and responding to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
  • Conducting thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen system defences.
  • Implementing and maintaining comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Essential Eight.
  • Proficiency with security tools, SIEM systems, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
