Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all team members and adhere to statutory regulations.
  • Develop and manage fleet operations to maximise vehicle, driver, subcontractor, and equipment utilisation.
  • Oversee timely pick-up and delivery of products, ensuring safe delivery, minimal damage, and accurate documentation.
  • Collect and interpret key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and optimise transport operations.
  • Escalate driver concerns, hazards, conflicts, and customer issues while prioritising safety solutions.
  • Maintain relationships through regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Industry experience in transport is essential.
  • Proven performance management and leadership experience.
  • Strong customer relationship building skills.
  • Continuous improvement and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership and team dynamics expertise.
  • Solid knowledge of the metropolitan area and CoR experience.
  • High-level planning and organisational skills.
