Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to contribute to the expansion of community mental health care services for young people.
This role is available in CAMH, based at Nepean Hospital and co-located with Penrith headspace, providing high-quality mental health care to individuals up to 17 years.
The team aims to deliver excellent community mental health care for young people with moderate to severe mental health issues, underpinned by evidence-informed and therapeutic approaches.
Candidates who are eligible for Fellowship within six months and have no more than one College-administered assessment to complete may be considered; if successful, the appointment will not commence until the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.
Responsibilities:- Provide effective, high-quality mental health services in a psychiatry setting
- Support and work collaboratively in interprofessional contexts that include lived-experience professionals
- Communicate clearly, inclusively, and respectfully with consumers, carers, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance activities
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Possess or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of RANZCP or equivalent
- Advanced Certificate of Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development and reflective practice
