Child Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Mental health clinicians are needed to join the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service. This role is a Permanent Full Time position with an attractive remuneration package.
The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience delivering family-based interventions and therapeutic models applying early intervention philosophy to infants, children, adolescents (0-18 years) and their families/carers.
A strong negotiation, decision making and advocacy skillset is required, along with ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing excellence. Additionally, the successful applicant will be able to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families/carers.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct assessments, including risk management, to inform treatment decisions.
- Provide education and support to staff to enhance service delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional qualification in Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW), Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA, or Clinical Psychology with full registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
- Minimum two-year full-time APAC-accredited postgraduate degree in clinical psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Current driver's licence or willingness to travel according to position demands.
