About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled educational leader to join our team as a Science Curriculum Leader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the effective operation of the designated Learning Area of Science at our Secondary Campus.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the effective delivery of a Christ-centred, developmentally appropriate Science curriculum from Years 7–12, grounded in a Reformed worldview.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing the College's curriculum design and implementation across all Science subject areas, fostering a consistent and coherent set of learning experiences that promote skill development, integration across disciplines and the use of diverse teaching and learning strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.

A strong understanding of the curriculum, assessment, standards, and reporting requirements defined by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia is essential.

The role requires a sound knowledge of teaching and learning from a Christian worldview, with the ability to lead the team to collaborate and create challenging and inspiring learning experiences.

The successful applicant will also supervise and support teachers through professional development, performance management and curriculum planning.

The Head of Learning Area will contribute to College-wide initiatives, participate in Curriculum Team meetings and lead Learning Area contributions to strategic and operational plans.

This is a senior role that requires the ability to teach up to FTE 0.7 as a component of this position.
