Leadership Role for Humanities and Social Sciences Curriculum Expert

We are seeking an experienced educator to lead our Humanities and Social Sciences learning area. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment strategies.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching History and be able to provide oversight and instructional leadership to a small Languages team. You will work collaboratively with staff to foster intercultural understanding and promote language learning across the school.

As a key member of our middle leadership team, you will mentor and support teachers through collaborative planning, professional learning, and performance development processes. You will play a central role in curriculum design, assessment moderation, and the effective management of resources within your learning areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support staff across the Humanities and Social Sciences and Languages disciplines
  • Develop and implement high-quality, engaging, and future-focused curricula
  • Provide oversight and instructional leadership to a small Languages team
  • Mentor and support teachers through collaborative planning, professional learning, and performance development processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education
  • Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • Hold a current Working with Children Card or be willing to obtain
